Business model

The core idea of Inderes is to democratize Nordic investor information by connecting investors and listed companies. Our product offering covers all the key investor communications solutions needed by listed companies. The products combine expert work, proprietary technology platforms and Inderes' investor media. Our priority is to provide our services and products on a subscription basis. In 2023, 61% of our revenue came from recurring contracts. The business model is designed to deliver stable growth, profitability and cash flow over economic cycles. In line with our renewed strategy in the spring of 2023, our business will be divided into four main products targeting the investor communications of listed companies.

Main product areas

Equity Research

We provide independent equity research to over 140 public companies on a subscription-based model. Our commissioned research business model differs from the traditional equity research model. So-called traditional, transaction-funded research is conducted primarily by banking firms. As a neutral information platform, Inderes is not involved in any type of banking business.

The distribution power that comes with the Inderes platform allows our equity research to have an excellent reach into the investor community, creating a strong link between investors and listed companies. Historically, customer churn in equity analysis has consisted primarily of acquisitions or mergers. The Equity Research product area has a strong market position in Finland. In Sweden and Denmark, the product area is in the investment phase.

Events

The Events product area includes the production and broadcast of interim reports, capital market days and other investor events as online and hybrid events on Inderes channels. We implement IR events with different subscription models.

In Events, we have achieved a strong market position in all our Nordic target markets, driven by acquisitions. In Finland and Sweden, we serve more than 300 listed companies in their investor relations events. In Denmark, we conduct IR events for more than 50 companies through our strategic partner HC Andersen Capital.

IR Software

The IR Software product area comprises the software solutions needed by listed companies for investor communications, such as a stock exchange release distribution system, investor websites and Videosync, a virtual event platform for broadcasting investor
event productions.

In Finland, the IR Software product area is moving from the investment phase to the growth phase. In Sweden and Denmark, the product area is still in the investment phase. Because the product line includes software, we expect the scalability of growth to be better than in our other product lines.

AGMs

The AGM product area covers the implementation of physical, virtual or hybrid meetings and the technological solutions required. Our strengths lie in the customizability of our AGM solutions and the comprehensiveness of our services: we are able to implement a wide range of solutions to meet the needs of our customers and investors, and we offer all the necessary services from event production to vote counting under one roof.

In Finland, we have a strong market position in AGM solutions, serving more than 120 listed companies. Sweden and Denmark are in the piloting phase.
